I like the mostly solid science supporting the story The writing was clean and flowed even if there were a few plodding moments in the first half, but there was a lack of emotional depth surrounding the sweeping events the story covers that, for me, keeps this from being a great book, but it is a very good, quick read I can see why the author needs two orbooks to potentially fill in the ticking time bombs left behind at the end of this first in the series...
